ICHIHIME ICHIHIME ICHIHIME ICHIHIME ICHIHIME!!!!! So canon, so real, so confirmed! I can't contain my excitement! We win! Orihime wins, Ichigo wins, and Renji and Rukia win because they always loved each other! Everyone wins! Perfect ending to Bleach, now please animate the rest of the manga so we can see it all on our TV screens!

So all my plans for early on in 2014 fizzled. No West Coast trip, no East Coast trip, no trips whatsoever. I have no money at the moment and it's very hard to get anywhere in this awful weather.
My convention plans include Tekko, Colossalcon & Matsuricon. I also plan on bringing back some old cosplays this year.
As for fanfiction, I've lost the will to write, and a lot of that has to do with my recent depression. All future fanfic plans are up in the air.
I've also decided to stop doing game shows at cons. While my experience at Kurokiiro was fun, I just feel like the whole game show thing is played out. I'm always trying to come up with fresh new ideas for panels, and that means abandoning the game show act and trying something brand new.

So next weekend I'll be at Kurokiiro Festival down by the Allegheny River. I plan on doing two game shows: Anime Millionaire and Are You Smarter Than A 5th-Grade Otaku? Both are relatively simple games, as opposed to some of the elaborate productions I've put on in my Survivor shows. But I worked for days and days on the PowerPoint for the Millionaire game.
I get the feeling no one's going to show up for Kurokiiro Festival and attendance is going to tank. It's just a hunch I've got, not something I have any objective proof of. Hopefully I'm wrong. If I'm doing panels for empty rooms, it'll be an embarrassment. Of course, what would be a bigger embarrassment is if I'm still living in Pittsburgh this time next year. It's already embarrassment enough that I'm here now.
I got some convention plans for next year which I'll talk about at a later time. They include a West Coast trip in January and an East Coast trip in February, but they could change.
In other news, Survivor: Tropical Jungle is finally coming along nicely. It's been a tough season to write, with characters I didn't know well. But now that we come down the homestretch, it's getting better.
Survivor: Family Feud is next. It's a Blood vs. Water clone, with a different name. HyperEspio/TJBambi93 is also writing a Blood vs. Water season, named the same. Like the Packers/Tropical Jungle crossover, we came up with this concept together. There will even be a few characters that are in both of our seasons. Make sure to look out for his story soon, and mine once Tropical Jungle is complete.

My annual tournament of anime characters is in its fifth year here: animebowl.blogspot.com/
Tekkoshocon X-2 is a week away. I will be hosting "Hetalia World War" - a Hetalia version of Family Feud. I have my worries, like when it's going to be scheduled, and how the heck I'm going to get anything in with only an hour of programming. I usually ask for at least 90 minutes for my big stuff, or sometimes 2 hours. But I knew that there was NO CHANCE Tekko would give me 2 hours for this, as badly as I wanted to go for it. Why? Ask me privately if you really want to know.
Tekko X-2 is going to be a real mystery of a con. Last year I enjoyed Tekko only and ONLY because I had my friends from Erie come and stay with me. They're coming again to Pittsburgh, so I predict I'll enjoy myself no matter what the con is like. Last year Tekko was such a bore that it was more fun drowning my $20 bills in a slot machine than it was going to panels. But there's hope. No longer is Tekko in the prison cell known as Wyndham Grand. In addition, staff kind of sort of likes me now, those who hated me are no longer on staff to my knowledge. But it's been so long since Tekko was last in the convention center, I cosplayed BLEACH last time it was there. Seriously, that's like a lifetime ago. Even more, that was back when da was popular and the place to hang out for Tekko people.
My prediction? There will be ups and downs, like at every con. Hopefully my panel goes well, and hopefully I enjoy myself.
On another note, Survivor: Crazy All-Stars may end up having a whopping 28 contestants. For my All-Stars season, I want all of the very best to be there. So that means there will be a chance for Yoruichi and Ryoko to still be in it.
